Two men on two wheeler in Tamil Nadu carrying Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
In any case, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Tamil Nadu stated that the EVM units were housed and not used for decision making on Tuesday.
“According to the primer searches of the DEO [District Election Officer], both of these were not EVMs surveyed. We will take a serious step towards any violation of SOP for the treatment of EVMs,” he said.
An FIR was filed against Tapan Sarkar, a field officer of the Election Commission of India (ECI), for violation of Election Commission rules. EVM and VVPAT machines were not used in Tuesday’s survey in West Bengal.
In any case, the better half of Gautam Ghosh denied TMC precursor involvement, stating that he stayed inside his room while EVM was outside the premises of his house.
