Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had ordered for immediate Effect from 10 pm to 5 am in the morning.
Delhi: Delhi government said that curfew will be imposed from 10 am to 5 am from today till 30 April to tackle coronavirus cases. This is after the rising cases of covid-19.
On Friday Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi is facing huge difficulty due to covid-19, but the lockdown was yet not being considered.
“As of the current situation, we are not considering a lockdown. We are closely monitoring the situation and such a decision will be taken only after proper public consultation.”
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also announced that there will be 24 hours vaccination at the government hospital during Delhi night curfew.
On Monday Delhi had recorded 3,548 fresh covid-19 cases and 15 deaths.
Delhi is one of the 11 states and union territories that agitate daily for an upward movement in Kovid-19 cases.
Officials said that traffic development would not be abandoned during the Delhi night curfew time frame and those going for vaccination would be allowed e-passes.
Movement for private nurses, doctors, and medical staff are allowed with ID cards during Delhi night curfew.
Exceptions will also be made for needing treatment and those for pregnant women.
Staple stocks, vegetables, milk, and medicines will likewise be given with comparative passes in fundamental administrations and retailers who need to go twilight for a ratio.
States such as Maharashtra and Rajasthan also imposed night curfew to tackle covid-19 cases. In 24 hours, India crossed one lakh cases for the first time.
